PF Official Defends Her Stance on Working With UPND

Miles Sampa’s PF faction Acting National Chairperson Charity Katongo Banda has responded to criticism from members of the “CK Supporters Only” WhatsApp group following her remarks about being willing to work with the ruling UPND.

Banda came under fire from some PF supporters after stating that she was prepared to collaborate with the UPND and other leaders who saw value in her contribution. Critics accused her of betraying the former ruling party and aligning herself with political opponents.

However, in a voice note reportedly shared within the group, Banda questioned why members were attacking her position when the group’s founder and political figure they support, Chishimba Kambwili, had already moved on to support Harry Kalaba and the Citizens First party.

She argued that those criticizing her should first reflect on the political decisions made by leaders they continue to support. Banda further suggested that the group’s name should perhaps be changed to reflect its current political direction.

The comments have sparked fresh debate within PF circles as political alliances and loyalties continue to shift ahead of the 2026 General Elections.
