President HH Rallies Voters Ahead of Polls

President Hakainde Hichilema has thanked thousands of supporters who attended the United Party for National Development (UPND) campaign launch held outside the National Heroes Stadium ahead of the 2026 General Election.

In a statement, President Hichilema described the turnout as inspiring, saying it was humbling to stand before citizens united by hope, peace, love, and a shared vision for Zambia’s future.

The President said his administration had rescued the country from debt distress, depleted foreign reserves, and economic challenges while laying the foundation for a stronger economy. He acknowledged that many families still face hardships but pledged to continue improving living standards.

Hichilema also urged voters not to return to what he described as reckless governance, corruption, and broken promises, saying the upcoming election is about protecting the progress achieved under his leadership.

He called on Zambians to remain peaceful and united throughout the election period while pledging to safeguard free education, job creation, economic growth, and a better future for the country’s children.
