It was a normal Sunday evening. My girlfriend and I were sitting on the couch watching football when she suddenly looked at me and said:
βBaby, give me your phone.β
I immediately became nervous. π
βWhat for?β
βI just want to check something.β
I tried to act relaxed.
βCheck what?β
She looked at me.
βWhy are you asking so many questions?β
I slowly handed her the phone.
Then she asked, βWhat’s your password?β
I smiled confidently.
β1234.β
She entered it.
Wrong password.
She looked at me.
I laughed nervously.
βOh, sorry. I changed it.β
βWhat is it now?β
β4321.β
She entered it.
Wrong password again. π
Now she wasn’t smiling.
βWhy are you lying to me?β
I panicked.
βWait, waitβ¦ let me remember.β
She stared at me for about ten seconds.
Then she stood up.
βKeep your phone.β
I thought she was angry.
But she started laughing.
βDo you know what’s funny?β
βWhat?β
βI already knew your password.β
I was confused.
βHow?β
She smiled.
βIt’s your birthday.β
I froze.
Then she added:
βI only asked because I wanted to see how many passwords you would invent before telling the truth.β ππ
I have never felt so defeated in my own house.
And the worst part?
She still knew my password. π€¦π½ββοΈπ
Would you have told the truth immediately, or would you also start inventing passwords? π
