Bomb$hell Grenade, born Bwalya Sophie Chibesakunda on December 31, 1987, is a Zambian rapper, singer, actress, model, television presenter, and activist. Widely regarded as one of Africa’s most influential female rappers, she has built an impressive career through her fearless lyrics, energetic performances, and commitment to empowering women in the entertainment industry. Her stage name is also written as Bombshell Grenade, Bomb$hell, or simply Bombshell.

Born and raised in Lusaka, Zambia, Bomb$hell Grenade developed a passion for hip-hop at a very young age after being introduced to the genre by her uncles. She began rapping at the age of 11 and started writing her own songs when she was just 12 years old. Her dedication to music continued alongside her education, eventually earning a Degree in Retail Business Management from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in Cape Town, South Africa.

Bomb$hell Grenade began gaining national recognition after releasing “The Berg” featuring Jay Rox, a song that introduced her to a wider audience.
