The Market Woman Who Taught Him a Lesson Forever
He laughed at her small business until one day he needed her the most.
π₯ STORY TIME π₯
Catherine sold tomatoes and vegetables at Soweto Market every day. Her boyfriend, Patrick, had just found an office job and started feeling embarrassed to be seen with a market trader.
Whenever his friends asked about Catherine, he claimed he was single.
One afternoon, Patrick publicly ended the relationship, saying he deserved “a classy woman.”
Heartbroken, Catherine focused on expanding her market business. She worked tirelessly, saved every kwacha, and eventually opened a successful grocery wholesale shop.
Two years later, Patrick lost his job when the company closed.
Desperate for work, he walked into a large wholesale store to ask if they were hiring.
To his surprise, Catherine was the owner.
She greeted him with a smile and offered him a cold drink.
Patrick apologized for how he had treated her.
Catherine forgave him but gently said, “Never look down on honest work. Today you came looking for a job from the woman you once called a market trader.”
π Was Catherine right to forgive Patrick, or should she have turned him away forever?
